St George's day
We had a great st George's day here at the greyhound! Everyone enjoyed a traditional roast beef dinner and plenty of bombadier ale, and our very own knight in shinning armour popped in for a pint!

The family have worked in the pub trade for many years and have a wealth of knowledge and the practical skills needed to run a successful village inn providing good beer, good food and a lively friendly atmosphere.
The Greyhound is a beautiful, traditional, English country pub that listens to the locals and has lots to offer including the main bar for customers to sit and enjoy a quiet pint, a light bite or an evening meal by the cosy log fire. From Easter to September we also serve traditional cream teas and cakes for you to enjoy either inside or out in our lovely garden.
The classic pub food is prepared by Bob and on the menu boards you can choose from a light snack - a baguette with a choice of fillings or a jacket spud. Maybe you fancy an omlette? There are steaks, cooked to your liking, battered cod and chips, bangers and mash and more. If you're looking for value, you'll find the Sunday Roast (£8.95) and Steak Night (on Wednesdays) very affordable at £6.95. Senior citizens can take advantage of the £6.50 for two courses menu: Monday - Friday from 11.30 to 2.30pm. On Friday night we have our very popular fish and chip night, with prices starting from £4.95 it really is great value for money!
To the back of the pub is a large beer garden with patio which is popular in the summer. Walkers, ramblers and cyclists are always welcome. Dogs are welcome too - especially if they bring their owners!
